3月19日讯 据《底特律新闻报》记者Rod Beard报道，在NBA因新冠病毒疫情而暂停之后，活塞开始对上周前往纽约和费城客场比赛的人员进行检测。
一位消息人士透露，克里斯蒂安-伍德的新冠检测呈现阳性，活塞队内50位成员有17人（不一定是球员）接受了检测，其余16人的检测结果尚未全部完成，不过截至当地时间周三晚上，除伍德之后没有其他阳性结果。
消息源透露，新冠测试是在私人实验室里进行的，只针对于戈贝尔有直接接触的客场随行人员，这些人要么出现新冠肺炎症状，要么就是有潜在的呼吸等健康问题。这些规范与美国疾控中心（CDC）的检测指南是一致的，目前为止活塞还没有对其他球员进行检测的计划，除非他们有新冠肺炎正传或者得到队医的测试建议。
活塞球员和其他成员被建议自我隔离到3月26日，也就是14天的隔离期。球队建议工作人员在家办公至少到3月31日。
