“运动员、名人这类人，有时需要一些这样的东西（新冠疫情）的敲打，才会真正懂得何为谦卑。对我们来说，平日会觉得自己是和疫情这些东西隔绝的，会认为这些事不会发生在自己身上。我们会这样想的原因很多，例如感觉自己身体很强壮，但事实证明，它可以感染我们。你看看，连米切尔和杜兰特这样的一流球星都感染了，这次疫情让我对很多事有了新的认识。”特雷-杨说道。
“当疫情真正发生在我们身上时，我们才真正认识到，也让旁人明白我们其实就是个普通人。这种事情真是太糟糕了，但我们可以团结起来共渡难关，现在我们不仅是球员，也是普通人，是所有人中的一员。”特雷-杨接着说道。
