3月28日讯 世界田联主席塞巴斯蒂安-科27日称，东京奥运会在2021年的新举办日期可能无法满足所有人的需求，体育赛事的举办在未来两年内都要保持灵活性。
2020年东京奥运会已宣布延期至2021年，但具体举办日期还有待确定。
“我们可能无法达成令所有体育项目都满意的解决方案，因此在未来两年内（的赛事）都要灵活处理。”科表示，现在亟需尽快确定奥运会的举办时间，以便运动员和各单项体育组织确立新的时间表。
科还表示只有确定了奥运会举办时间，才能评估2021年俄勒冈田径世锦赛是否会受到影响，并考虑比赛推迟等事宜。“不排除2022年和2023年背靠背举办田径世锦赛的可能。”他补充道。
据国际奥委会内部人士透露，东京奥运会新的举办日期将在未来三周内尽快确定。
