现年46岁的鲁斯图在2002年世界杯上扬名世界，而前几日他感染了新冠病毒。《每日体育报》称，从土耳其传来的消息表示，鲁斯图情况恶化，目前的情况很危急。
此前有消息称，鲁斯图被他的妻子传染新冠病毒，后者在从美国旅行回到土耳其后没有遵守14天的隔离，并因此受到批评。不过鲁斯图的妻子在个人社交网站上发文请求原谅的同时，也表示自己和孩子们的检查结果是阴性。
