群马草津官网表示：“舩津徹也进行了新型冠状病毒核酸检测，其结果为阳性，所以特此告知大家。”
上周四晚间，舩津徹也有发热症状，次日早晨体温测量结果为37.1℃，当晚体温上升到38.3℃。周六中午，他前往群马县医院就诊。周一，他的体温下降到36.5℃，但仍有些疲惫及咳痰症状。与队医商量后，他在当天11:00左右到群马县医院接受核酸检测。周二，他的核酸检测结果为阳性。今天，他起床时的体温是36.6℃。
舩津徹也本人就感染新冠向大家表示了歉意，并希望自己的这次感染没有传染给他人。
