4月5日讯 据美媒今日美国报道，不少美国偏远地区家庭的孩子苦于没有高速网，而无法正常上网课。
科里-谢泼德（Corey Shepherd）在阿拉斯加州一个偏远地区教五年级，谢泼德说学生中只有一半人可以上网课：“阿拉斯加偏远地区的互联网服务非常昂贵，并附带数据上限。由于天气原因，互联网服务也容易中断。”
微软在2018年进行的一项研究估计，大约有一半的美国人（1.63亿人）在家中没有高速互联网。偏远地区的学生经常发现网速无法达到视频会议或者连网课的要求，而在贫困学生集中的地方也难以负担网费。
