一位了解萧华想法的消息人士表示：“这一切都基于医学根据。”
从围绕新冠检测的后勤保障，到如果检测为阳性可能的治疗，再到当地医院的情况，每个方面都在探索之中。如果有一名球员新冠检测呈阳性，那么季后赛不会中断，但他将会被隔离，除非爆发疫情，否则比赛将继续进行。
到目前为止，据多位消息人士透露，每一位新冠检测为阳性的NBA球员都能在短期内康复，同时避免住院治疗。
那么当涉及到老员工、教练和裁判时，他们对病毒易感性的增加引起了一种完全不同的担忧。考虑到联盟在两个多月前就通知各队，60岁以上的教练应该远离自己球队的队员；很显然，NBA已经意识到危险所在。
