On Friday, the Lewishham and Greenwich NHS Choir’s “A Bridge Over You” officially won the Christmas Day top spot with 127,000 sales and downloads, the Guardian reports, nearly 31,000 more than Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”
Bieber congratulated the group when he heard the news. “A Bridge Over You” had been trailing behind earlier in the week, but surged ahead after Bieber encouraged his fans to support the group.
