You’d Better Go to Ask My Wife
Mr Jenkins worked in a middle school . At first he taught history there .He worked hard and was friendly to both his workmates and students .And when he was thirty-eight ,he was appointed to a headmaster .He worked harder ang was so busy that he couldn’t do any housework .His wife did all for him and he had enough time to have a good rest at home .He used to live so in the forty-five years .Five years ago ,when the old man was sixty ,he retired .At that time he had enough time and wanted to help his wife ,but he could do nothing .So he spent all time in writing and reading .And he never worried about anything .
Last night ,Mr Jenkins saw his wife falling to the floor while he was watching TV in the sitting-room .He sent for a doctor at once ,but something was wrong with her heart and the doctors couldn’t save her .She died in the hospital .The old man was so sad that he didn’t know what to do .His friends called his children and told them about the bad news .They all came back soon .They were afraid the old man would be ill ,they did their best to fort him .
“Have you told our uncle about the news ,dad ?”asked one of his children .
“Go to ask your mother ,”answered Mr Jenkins .“She always manages all .”
